D-day had finally come and after a good night sleep at Susie's Land's End hostel and porridge for breakfast we set off for Land's End.
This was only a quarter of a mile from the hostel and on arrival already a few fellow cyclist had arrived. We had a stroll around the site and Jo took a photo of me at the LEJOG post.
The group of early starters quickly scattered and I joined up with James from Ireland and Phillip from Lymington as we past St Michael's Mount.
We cycled on passing Penzance and had our 1st waterstop at Praze-an-Beeble at 23m.After a quick stop we pressed on and arrived at 1pm at our lunch stop at Tresilian. One group of fast boys were already there. We stopped for lunch for about 30min and when we set off again it started to rain and this held on for the rest of the afternoon untill 10min from The Premier Inn at Liskeard where we arrived at 4.30pm.
Today:distance 74.05m,moving time 5hr10min,avg speed 14.3mph,max speed 38.8mph, elevation 4534ft.
